With DaVinci Resolve, shots can be enhanced to pop by adding contrast and saturation, while a simple image might look better in widescreen.  With added filters, there's no limit to the mood or feeling that can be conveyed. Warm yellows and oranges can saturate the image to give a pleasant, happy feeling.  Decreasing contrast might make the image feel vintage, while desaturating the picture with a bit of sepia can add a sense of timeless classic to the film.
